I’m so thrilled to share these Green Bay family photos of the Allen family today. They are the cutest family. Shanna is actually a fellow photographer and close friend of mine, and I’ve photographed her family and watched them grow for over a decade. I always look forward to our time together.  

We shot at their home, which is one of my favorite ways to approach family photos because everyone is so much more relaxed at home in their own environment. The result – some gorgeous family photos that you’ll treasure forever!

Green Bay Family Photos at Home

For this shoot, I met the Allens at their home on a Sunday evening just before sunset. The lighting before and during sunset is beyond beautiful and makes for great photos. 

The Allens wanted to keep their session super relaxed and easy – hence having it at their home instead of another location. When I arrived they had just walked in the door from one of the kids’ soccer games and were getting ready to enjoy their Sunday evening. 

The weather was perfect, so we decided to head outside to their backyard. We followed an overgrown path behind their house that led to an open field, which was great for the kids to run around in and play. Because of the relaxed environment, the kids were able to act naturally and be themselves. They played in the grass, looked for caterpillars, and just had fun! All while I snapped away.

Green Bay Family Photographer – My Approach 

I believe that the most beautiful family photos (and the ones you will treasure the most!) are of you and your kids simply hanging out and having a good time. When I photograph families, I love to let the kids be themselves and let their energy guide the session. This leads to photos that capture the real moments in your family and such beautiful emotions – like your kids’s true joy and your love for them. 

Make the time to take family photos. I promise you will be so glad that you did. Life’s moments are so fleeting – you will treasure these memories of your kids forever!
