Lauren and Taylor’s campground wedding was as beautiful and incredible as you can imagine. It was the perfect time of year, and the weather was awesome. As a Wisconsin wedding photographer, I love a unique celebration like this one, so I’m excited to share the details from their day in this post.

 

 

A Wisconsin Campground Wedding for Lauren & Taylor

 

I practically drove across the state for this wedding. A campground wedding!! I could not wait! 

It took place at Split Ridge Campground in Holcombe, WI, which Taylor actually bought a few years ago when he and Lauren were dating. So not only was it a cool setting for their wedding, it had special meaning to them, too. 

When I arrived, I immediately fell in love with the location. It was a perfect mid-September day, and there was even a dusting of some early fallen leaves. The campground sits on a pond, and the property is filled with birch trees. It’s picturesque and magical. 

Lauren and Taylor each got ready in the cabins on the grounds with their wedding party and families. They had great energy and everyone was so excited. I got to explore the property a bit and take some photos while things were being set up for the party later on. 

Their ceremony had wild, gorgeous, special weather. There were dark clouds and rain sprinkles one moment, and blazing sun the next. It was beautiful and dramatic and felt so right in the moment as they exchanged their vows. So dreamy. 

They had a reception tent set up on the grounds for the party and put out an incredible spread of food for cocktail hour. Then dinner was pizza from a wood-fired pizza truck. The sunset after the clouds cleared was incredible. And the party was a total blast.

All day, the entire place was filled with guests and the best energy. Some people pitched tents because all the cabins were occupied. Kids were running around and the sun was shining. It was truly the perfect Wisconsin wedding.

It’s so clear that everyone loves Lauren and Taylor. You could feel it and see it all day. I was so honored to be there to photograph it all, and am so happy for them!
